Pesitas - Alexander the Great's bitch

This statue of Pesitas was done by Lisippo, the official artist of Alexander the Great, according to some chronicles, when his bitch died, he named a city with her name in India.
This statue can be found in the Museo Barraco in Rome, is a Roman copy of the original, sadly lost.
This statute represents the original macedonian molossus, since the mother of Alexander the Great, was molossian.

The statue represents the favourite (hunting) dog of Alexander, but not the actual breed known as Alexander's Moloss.
