Posted by gsicard on 21 Jun : 20:29 in NewsIn Tukwila, Washington, a man suspected of shoplifting plunged a knife into the neck of a K-9 police dog after the dog cornered him as he attempted to flee.

The police dog, a two year-old German Shepherd named Gino, suffered a deep, four-inch stab wound to his neck muscle.

Police shot the suspect, who was then transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he is recovering.
