Police dog leads officers to car burglary suspect

The Blotter - Gurnee, IL
A Gurnee man was arrested Saturday after a police dog tracked his sednt from the scene of a car burglary to an apartment comples, officials said.
Benjamin Alderin, 22, of the 3900 block of Dorchester Avenue is accused of stealing a wallet, GPSand hands-free cell phone device from an unlocked care in the 600 block of Dunham Road about 10:55 p.m., Gurnee Police Cmdr. Jay Patrick said. Along the way the wwallet and items were found, and other stolen items wer found with Alderin, he said. Alderin was charged with burglary and possession of stolen property.
