im thinking of getting the akita inu in few months, so i have some questions about this breed that i cant find anywhere... is it true that akita doesnt have a tipicall dog scent and are generally clean dogs? i heard some rumores about akita being the aggressive attack dog, who's very hard to handle, but i think if its socialized from early age, it should be good family dog... id like to have some informations about life with akita, if some1s introduced good with this breed . email me pinkxxxxbunnyy@gmail.com i appreciate any info thx

      • hi there i have three akita`s and sadly lost my first one to bloat last year he was amazing so loyal very protective but not over protective great judge of character and could be very soft and affectionate at times all round great breed but make sure he or she knows your the leader of the pack ,best of luck with your new dog
        • I have an akita, an american akita female, and I can honestly say it's the best dog I've ever had. It will be extremely important for youto socialize your new dog and educate it properly. As brotherwolf said, they can be affectionate but can also be very tough dogs. Keep us updated with pictures when you get your dog.
