new2neos: I have a 4 year old 110lb Cane Corso Italiano that grew up with a 7lb Toy Poodle and a 12lb Miniature Schnauzer. They romped and played together and both were female. I actually believe that a toy poodle is smaller and more fragile than a shitzu so that shouldn't be a concern. OF course, accidents do happen and they will happen with any kind of dog. As for the Boerboel, my understanding is that they are "very hard" mastiffs needing lots of exercise and are quite dominant. Boerboels in South Africa are known for their vicious attacks on their owners and these aggressive traits "are known" to some lines in particular.
