i don't get why LGD's are split into 2 groups wouldn't it be better if they are all in the same group ?

you have the maremma , cuvac, kuvasz , OP, SRO, beauceron in the same group as the malinois, german shepherd , border collie, ...

but their jobs are very different !

and to make matters even worse they have put the saarloos wolfdog and czechoslovakian wolfdog together with the sheep dogs, now this makes zero sense to me .

could some one please enlighten me ?
