Comment to 'Living with the Wolfman!'
  • LOL, I have to agree with Paco it's for entertainment purposes only... They made a comment in one of the shows that the work they are doing is to help wild wolves?! And I have to wonder, how, because even though the wolves are penned in an attempted "natural" setting, they are still confined animals and still used to humans feeding them, and caring for them, and interacting with them... Not the same as wild wolves, I think if they tried to "talk wolf" with a real pack of wild wolves, if the wolves were hungry enough, they'd eat them, and if they weren't starving then they'd run, or just avoid...And once you have human interaction with wild wolves, then you are taking the first step to de-sensitizing them to human interaction however it may be...So how is that helping wild wolves?! LOL, I had a 97% wolf cross, and I was the "Alpha", just because I brought food, and I gave affection, and I gave reprimands for misbehavior. It took me watching a couple videos and reading a lot of articles on wolves to understand what he was doing as he started to mature! I cannot fathom, letting a wolf or any other canine for that matter be the alpha, and still on the show, even though he lets the "Alpha" male go through the "alpha male" motions with him and his girlfriend, the "alpha" still stops to be pet, looks at him for direction, and does not snap at him, to "put him in his place" which IMO , shows that the "Alpha" wolf feels that the man is either equal to him or "alpha" to him. I also have to agree with babigirl on how appauling it is to watch him put his girlfriend in there with ANY of the dogs or wolves in the emotional state that she appears to be in, so either it's all just a performance or they are not that bright! LOL! Yeah, get down at eye level where a bunch of excited dogs can jump on and scratch the pi$$ out of you! What fun!! So at any rate, if ANYONE has any information on how what they are doing will actually help wild wolves, I'd love to hear it, becuase it baffles me everytime I even see it previewed, lol!
