Peeing on the floor

Be sure the dogs have been walked BEFORE company visits so that their "tanks" are empty :D 1.) - Put them in crates when strangers arrive and leave them in there until they ( dogs) calm dowm. 2.) - When the dogs are let out completely ingore them. 3.) - Repete 100Xs Understand you can NOT correct 5 years of unacceptible behavior over night.

    • Hello everybody! Friends of mine (husband and wife) have three dogs. 2 male smooth- coated Dachshund's and a female mini long-haired Dachshund. The 2 males are brothers, they are about 5 years old the female is about a year. Well to make a long story short, every time the female greets anybody, she pee's. I know that's a submissive behavior. Well ,now we are told do not pet her at all until she settle downs a bit. It seems to be working, well one of the males are now peeing around her cage and by the sliding glass door. The female has been spayed. She still urinates if a little excited. What can be done? Thanks! Tom
