    • Just to make another case against a prevailing stigma of working dogs being a liabilty and dangerous to society, here's a very nice video that shows how a dog that has been trained in obedience and bite work can also be a fantastic companion. Enjoy... 8) http://www.k9freeconnect.com/category/Protection+work/0/6ECF1B69-931D-45C3-A253-C665783B1962.htm

        • Indeed dan, great post. I try to tell people that a pp dog knows when to turn it on, thats all apart of training. The dog must know to react to a threat. PP dogs are not wild uncontrolable bite machines, they are for defense.
          • Yes! Awesome video! I found a similar video about a Rott, I think I posted it in the Rott section. Vasko is Sch III and a therapy dog too. I tell you, when I got Xena I never thought she would ever protect me, she's a happy dog that loves everyone. One night I was walking her and an unsavory character approached me in a threatening manner. My sweet happy rottie turned into an evil snarling mess and positioned herself between me and the guy. 8) As soon as he backed off and was gone, she was back to her happy self!
