Guys, about what two dogs you are talking about? That Sarplaninac who killed two wolves was called Karabash. There were no two different dogs, just one, Sarplaninac, and Karabash was his name. And what a hell is that crap that is written on YouTube?!?!??? The name of the movie is: HRVATSKI (Croatian) KANGAL?!?!???? I mean that is so stupid! This movie was filmed in late 50's on Mountain Shara to show capability of Sarplaninac as a flock guardian. There were not even one Kangal there on that movie and mount Shara is certainly not in Croatia. Some people are just so..... :roll: :roll: :roll:

I have this video saved to my computer. The dog in queston was a beautiful SARPLANINAC on the SHARA mountain, whos name was KARABAS. There was also a tornjak, a zmaj and another sar in there, but the 1 sar, KARABAS was the one who did the dirty work!!! ANd how can HRVATSKI KANGAL even make sense????

First of all, thank you. :) I just wanted to know more about the video. Where and where was it filmed? Was it set-up? It is hard to see from this short clip what is going on. Are there two wolves? Where did the other dogs come from? Sarplaninac did a good job in the fight. But, he shouldn't have gone into the forest after the wolf!!! The shepherd lost 2 (3) sheep because of that.

MY take on it The sar didnt cause the deaths of the sheep, the sheep going un attended into a seperate pen caused it. The other dogs came when the shepherd came into the pen. This was taken in 1957 by the yugoslav army, to show the greatness of the sar and why they used it for army!!! There were 2 wolves, and if you look closely, you can see them still breathing at the end of the video, you see it better on the other version on youtube!!! EITHER WAY, AWESOME intro into the sar and its capabilities!!!

Ti si izgleda onda jedan od retkih bisera na youtube koji na mesto gde bi trebalo da bude naziv filma stavljaju neku samo njima znanu sifru. Pa pogledaj samo komentare albanaca na youtube ispod tog filma kog si postavio. Verovatno su onda i svi oni budale kao i ja a ti jedini pametan. Neki turcin cak ti je i poverovao da se radi o hrvatskom ovcarskom psu. Boze dragi! :roll: Buldog bi mozda i mogao samnom pod ruku sto se tice znanja o psima, a ti ni da nas pratis ne bi mogao. I jos jedna informacija za tebe napaceni prijatelju, ceo taj film, od pravljenja klopke za vuka i hvatanja istog od strane cobana, testiranja pasa na vuciju kozu, scena nespesnog vucijeg lova zeca i srne pa do poslednjih scena Karabaseve borbe sa vukovima i njegovom slavljenickom povorkom kroz selo, posedujem vec nekih 15-ak godina. Ostaj mi zdravo i veselo! :lol:
