For the NJ, PA, MD, DC, VA, NC presa owners
I know a lot of you are in this area...and I'm looking for some breed commitment here... Rescue's been asked to take in an adult female and her puppies. She was taken from a high kill shelter by an aspca in Maryland. SO far everything I've seen has been fawn. Puppies are 8 weeks but are going to need experience fosters to work with them on a few issues per the aspca-"dominance", some food aggression and needing some socialization since it sounds like most of their entire lives so far have been in a shelter. I am looking for people who can foster- in PA, MD, VA, NC, NJ, DC......an 8 week old puppy is easy to fit into your house without much disruption to the pack. An adult girl will be happy to have a crate or kennel in your house. SO I'm looking for help for these guys, and their mommy.
Hello Presadam, I am the person you spoke with tonight in GA about the male pup. Glad to see that you are fellow board member as well. It was pleasure speaking you. Regards,

• Good googly moogly Im not too high on fawns but I like that girl. I wish I could take one in right now but I cant, but what I will do is talk to a couple of people who may have the time and space. With fostering pups/dogs what are the chances of the foster parents keeping the pups/dogs if they wanted to? Have many pups are boys and how many are girls? Also would you happen to know the name of the high kill shelter and what part of Maryland its in?
• Mom's at most risk right now. I have 4 interested homes for 4 pups right now, and myself and another foster home lined up, so that leaves 2 puppies and mom to work with. But this is all prior to my meeting any of them. They're going to need some manners and socialization. She's not in the high kill shelter anymore, she's with the Anne Arundel ASPCA, but she came out of PG county. I'll be happy to take all the help I can get, since i haven't heard much from the locals yet  I have no problem with foster adopting one that fits into their household. She is a beautiful fawn- it's hard to find a mask like that.
• I wanna post thiss on the elpresa website can I have your general contact info to provide to those that may be interested?
• Sorry for the delay in response. I hit a snag yesterday with them, but we may be working it out, so we can continue working on this. The rescue website is presarescue.com There's an adoption application if people want to apply to adopt one of them, and a volunteer app as well. They can also email about this directly to presarescue@yahoo.com and either Genevieve or myself will respond. Thanks!
