he is the son of the dog in my avatar! his father is 32 inches tall! his grand father is over 35 inches!

Why is the puppy on the left missing hair from his throat/chest?

my dobe was also like that.. he got the hairs as he grew.. if they were with me, i'd have applied wokazole n taken vet's assistance..

[quote=tosamama]they're both so cute. fluffy puppies are often cuter than the short hair breeds. makes me want to get another puppy right now :) good luck with him...[/quote] thank you.. fluffy puppy is really cute.. i admit.. we'll see what all challenges he pose to me as he grows up :lol: his parents are notorious dogs in the area.. especially his mother! she is known to have killed other male HMs trespassing her territory.. and known to fight multiple big dogs! i am crossing fingers hoping that he wouldn't be angry at my dogs! but i have seen her son! huge and athletic dog! and very aggressive too.. but he is getting on well with another HM.. but he tends to be bossy at times.. i am sure that he'll have no problems with my dogs.. they too aren't dog aggressive.. besides tony (my gsd) loves puppies are cares for them better than their own mother!

i got my puppy yesterday.. he was shouting in the cargo section, trying to bite through the cage! people there were glad to see that we went there t take the puppy home! his voice was so loud that i could hear it from a long distance! today, i had taken him to the vet! another puppy had come and it was 10 days older than him. i let him down with that puppy expecting him to play! but he held himself high and observed the lab puppy and as it approached, he gave a deep growl and a bark! that puppy ran and sat below a chair! and he was lying down on the floor in the vet's clinic! two boys were peeping from the door.. he noticed it and felt suspicious and growled at them! i have noticed that he'd stand holding his head & tail high like a king and give a loud deep growl when he feels like warning anyone! and he takes a lot of rough housing.. he barely reacts to it! and i can say that he is my shadow! even as i type here, he is lying by my side! whenever i move, he'll be with me. he showing good protective traits now itself! and yesterday night, i left him alone to sleep. he was very vocal! he was shouting a lot! i was forced to take him to my bed room! he is an adorable puppy ;) i liked him a lot! i expect him to be a great specimen of the breed! he even never thinks twice to warn my dobermann who is 26 inches tall! and he is only 45 days old! im lucky and proud to have him by my side!

well, my dobermann is excellent companion and is very peaceful and kind, you said it right! it is too hard to get good dobes. my dobe suffers from epilepsy (grand mal seizures) he is on medication and has to be on medication throughout his life. but for me, he is a great specimen like how every dog is very special to its owner! but he is very kind n affectionate to puppies.. but he is overaffectionate to my puppy.. he'll poke my puppy's face with his nose (sniffing) and will lick his face 24 x 7! my puppy tries to turnaside and hide his face and after too much, he'll growl and bark! lol my dobe never stops.. he'll keep doing the same thing.

Iam so sorry to hear about your-Dobe. I have a cat , with asthma. He using a specially made inhaler attachment attached to flovent canister. He doing very well. And will probably need it the rest of his life also. What we won't do for our animals. Sounds like he'll be a great friend to that pup! Richard
