personally i like the neo bandog...from a working stand point...its got good guardian traits from the neo...athletisism of the bull ab or pit...and far less health issues that a standard neo may have...i love the neo...i've done PP with mine...but my female wasn't typical...i feel i just got lucky there...cuz how neo's in general are being bred these days is creating a wreck out of them...but like i've said before...there is working neos out there...hard to find and it'll cost you plenty to get one...and still run a higher risk the prominent genetic issues facing the neo may happen in that dog...and a bandog is not a guarentee health wise(individual dog basis of course) but in general the bandog will be a much healthier, athletic animal far more capable & funtional for a working enviroment...i've seen some very impressive neo/bandogs being bred...and this is just my opinion...but a neo bandog put together right...has more of the "essence" of what a neo should be...probably was more like back in the day...than a standard AKC type neo you see of today... working people like what neo's can bring to the table...less the issues...thats why you see that so much...as far as PP guard dogs etc... a bandog is not for the inexperienced though...thats what i'd definately call and advanced handling dog...dominant, stong with capabilities that if you don't know what your doing very well may result in misfortune...similar to putting a AK 47 in someones hands that has never shot a gun before...in general...not a good idea...
