It is very sad someone poisened two of your dogs,that is straight up B.S. The artical makes some great points, heres a few of my thoughts..A large majority of pitbull owners shouldnt have the dog, because they dont have the control or experience it takes to own a dog with such a high prey drive[im talking apbt,not pitbull type dogs].A apbt is a huge responsability,many say the apbt wont look for trouble, but it wont back down either,from my direct experience this is untrue in many cases. Game pits are most defenitly a handfull and if not tightly secured will bust out and run amuck, so keeping the dog secured is first and foremost. Also,Too many gangster wannabes are getting the dogs for there fake egos,the media culture that is pushing the gangster image is partly to blame.but the dogs are the main ones who suffer.Many breeds like the bandogge are being lumped in with the apbt,but there is one true pit, the apbt.Bandogges are protection dogs by birth, and many are human aggresive and will attack strange people,mixing game dog with protection dog is creating a protective attack dog and needs to be in the hands of the pros or at least people with dominate dog experience.I hope none of this gets taken the wrong way,Im a owner of both apbt and pit bull type[bandogge] im expressing a honest opinion and not presenting this as absolute fact.Did anyone here that the lady in San Francisco new here dogs were aggresive, and insted of locking them in the bassment when she went out,she would lock here boy in the bassment knowing he would break out?She sounds like the poster child for someone who shouldnt own a pitbull..
