•
about giving new born babies hepatitis B shots in the first day of their lives. I ask him what are the transmission vectors. He said the most common vectors were drug addicts sharing needles and sexual intercourse. Then I ask him what were the chances of a new born baby shooting drugs or having sex? He said "none". Then I ask him why give them this immunization so close to birth when they did not need it?
In my country there have been a long war against the detrimental obligatory vaccination hepatitis b to babies, without success. In Italy vaccines are mandatory; children cannot attend public schools without having received them and parents who refuse to vaccinate their children against infectious diseases can lose the patria potestas of their own sons. :!: :!: Furthermore I would like to remember the unvaccinated people would pose a risk only to themselves. Several British veterinarians use homeopathic rabies nosode in lieu of injections to protect dogs without serious side effects, but in order to do so, they must give this remedy repeatedly throughout the life of the animal. A healthy diet and good hygiene maintain the natural defenses both for dogs and people: unfortunately for me, I have found high risk for getting virus diseases only as a results of my frequent visits to veterinary clinic. :(
