Comment to Kangal or Malakli
Nice dog the Malakli. Tell me my friend in your experience the Malakli is dificult to deal with? if so, in which way. Thanks for the pics and the clips. Regards, Hugo
well,... strong as an ox smart as an fox and stubborn as a donkey a difficult combination Boils down to this, they are very dominant dogs. They have been kept much closer to humans then kangals. But nothing of their natural drive has been lost. You cannot compare it to any another breed living close with humans. If you cannot be the topdog in your family with a malakli you are bound to have big problems, you cannot afford a mistake with these dogs. There is is a big difference in keeping a malakli on a chain in front of your house or keeping him as a pet. If you give him a finger he will take your head, it's in their nature. This does nor mean you have to be a tiran to control them, it won't work anyway. They are loyal because they want to be and you have to proof/earn it. I love this breed because they have honour, really they do. But like I said before you'll have to earn their respect first, after that he'll fight the devil himself for you. ps. mine sleeps in bed with me at night so maybe you better consider a kangal :P :P :P
