The strongets adut of "hybrid masters" is that there is no upper height restriction in the standard -- the standard states that the average height of male dogs is 63 cm. That the heigher males are desired are incorrect claims of people that either have bad intentions or are uneducated or both. The fact is that the standard was written after serious and thourough biometrical research of urban and crosscountry (original) dogs done by prof.dr.S.Pavlovića. This research is the basis for expert, study of racial (breed) phenotype which very methodically and with great accuracey defines (selects) specimens from both urban and mountain population as a breed and on the other hand gives instructions for further selection. And that is exactly what those claim to be cynologist fail to understand when they claim that standard is incorrect because you can find many different types of dogs in mountains that are not described in the standard..
