I am a newbie with my American Bulldog, who I do have the pleasure of sharing his life with my family for over one year. First of I do not run 2 miles a week with my dog. I should for the reason I need to drop weight and not because he is hyper. When I first got him we walked for an hour 3 times a week in the evenings, but since he turned 2 we haven't done that much walking. I do have over an acre of land where he does run around several times a day. He is not a outside dog. He loves to be with us. You will need to do OB training with this breed. They bond very well with their family members and their friends. Spike evens has accepted the family cat and the other two dogs we have. American Bulldogs are active and may have a high prey drive depending upon their breeding. I am still learning about this breed. I do love ABs
