I live just inside the colorado mountains. I own two Great Pyrenees. I know that a mountain lion and a bear both live in the area. But, I haven't had any issue yet. One of my GP's is always on duty. He was about 4 months old when I got him and was in training by his mama to be a working dog. Although he is smaller than my other GP he is the one that doesn't miss a beat on our property. I swear nothing happens on our property that he doesn't know about.
