Comment to 'It's good to be back'
  • I see that this place has changed quite a bit, and appears to decreased in activity, but I'm happy to have returned.

I'm quite the enthusiast of the Spanish Mastiff, though I'm far more interested in the original working type than the show type which frankly I'm really turned off of... all of the LGD landraces left in their original unadulterated forms, fascinate me. Fact is, I and a handful of enthusiasts in Spain (thanks to my now decent level of Spanish and the help of online translators) have gotten together to propose a rather ambitious new project there geared towards saving the aboriginal Mastín Español from extinction due to careless hybridization to recently imported breeds and to the show/pedigree "SM". And to conserve the landrace in its genetics (like saving an endangered species), its health, working prowess and temperament, and to assign it official recognition as a separate breed. I also believe that the official name of the breed called "Mastín Español" should be changed: either to "Dogo Español", "Mastiff Español" or "Mastín Pesado" (pesado = heavy). While the original dogs getting to keep the "Mastín español" name is to me appealing and serving it justice. The show SM crowd is going to hate me even more for suggesting this LOL! XDDD

Oh to the likes of my enemies who are into the show SM, namely Lois Jordon, Tracey Pemberton and Sally Nielsen: the moment I notice you getting on my back again, I'm just going to block you here like I did on Facebook. ;-)
