I dont realy read what they are doing about the behaviour, how do they correct him? Putting him in a crate until he is calmed down is no correction.

Overly protective at that age means problems huge problems in the future. He is running the household there. How are the basic rules, whois going out the door first, laying on the couch well you know the rules. I realy dont care much about this rules but i dont have a dominance issue and i do know it can help when you do have a dominance issue.
