MonsterQuest did a stupid alarmist episode on feral dogs. They DNA tested a dead stray and didn't find anything interesting. I may be thinking of another show, but I know I saw a show where they trapped a stray and ran a dog breed analysis on it. It came back as having GSD and bull terrier and a few other things.
