[quote1327976087=mark06eire] hey alan thanks for the question, The irish terrier we had was named bob and i suppose the best way to describe him was mental lol. he had no sense of self preservation he would try and charge any bigger dog no matter their size.He was really tolerent of kids and smaller dogs though.we kinda inherited him as he was my great aunties dog.he lived with the the springer with out incident but on walks he would try and lunge at bigger dogs.he also loved to chase us,cats anything really! as kids we used to play a game where we would run from him and hide on the swing set but if he caught up to us he would just jump up on us and knock us down, he played fairly rough but he had no malice in him.but as kids we would pretend to be scared.he was a fun dog but he sadly died quite young as we got him when he was 5 and he died at 8 from mange. Btw your american bulldog looks great, its a really rare breed in ireland could you describe his temperment as im really interested in a first hand account of the breed [/quote1327976087] Sorry Mark. First, THANKS, also this thread disappeared. I have to say that my boy is PROBABLY the IDEAL speciman and he was, in probably MOSTS opinion backyard bred. Butch is a Hybrid, a mixture of standard and bully type, 24 inches and about 80-85 pounds of muscle. Temperament wise EVERYONE loves Butch ESPECIALLY at the vet's office which happens to be in Petsmart, Banfield. Butch is VERY friendly but stubborn, also very smart, he picked up VERY well with his OB and he's kept it but, as I said, STUBBORN as HELL, LOL. Protection wise since probably about 5 months Butch would come in between if there's an argument but the BEST part is in PP. Personal Protection Butch is a BEAST and the turn on is fun to watch. So, Butch is very friendly but he is OUTSTANDING when turned on, protective and aggressive.
