We are spanish alano breeders under the name CORRICAN, we have the old spanish cattle alano, and we are based our blood lines in these type of dogs, because we think that the cattle dog is in supperior level that the hunting dog. And after more than 20 years breeding, with Alanos de Ponce de León and the cattle men from North Spain, we have get first BH (Í don´t know the name in english, it´s the sociability test of the Real Society Canine of Spain RSCE, under the rules of the FCI) of a spanish alano Arcadio del Corrican, and next month, we are going to try first RCI-I (Sh-I, IPO-I) We are trainning with Pedro Luis Gutierrez, Championship of the World USA 2008 in WUSV and he is very happy with the results of our spanish alano, because he thought that the prey dogs are´n so intelligents, that´s the reason we prefer these cattle dogs. Then, excuse me to answer the question 3 years after!!! But, we are working in these line now, after 1000 years the breed began to run behind caws and the result: next month! By now the breed is only reconocided by the FCI in Spain, but if we achive to show the controled and potencial of the breed in these days like security dog, or utility dog, maybe son we can put the Spanish alano in the rest of the world.
