This is a photo from the Dogue de Bordeaux album, apparently taken in 1966. Is there any information on this dog? Is it claimed to be a pure bred? The old photos I’ve seen dating back to the early 1900’s (and even prior) look pretty much as they do today. Surely this dog wouldn’t meet the breed standard? Not even in 1966. Or am I barking up the wrong tree? Regards, Denno.
