I asked why it would/could work and Vet at Univ of Penn said that not all dogs make enough C and that may also be genetic ,the Ester C since it's formulated to stay in system seems to help some joint issues in some dogs and really helps most dogs when used with a B-complex and Glucosomine Chondroditen MSM taken twice a day
