contactcombat, congrats on your choice! :) CAOs are a great breed, but be very VERY cautious when picking a breeder. Hip and elbow dysplasia, along with unstable temperament have become a serious problem in CAOs. To my knowledge, Germany and Austria don't have good CAOs, and Hungary has a few kennels with interesting dogs. Wolf already mentioned two kennels who are near Hungary. Kennel "Ruski Izvor" ([link=http://www.ruskiizvor.com/]LINK[/link]) from Serbia has dogs from show lines that are great both in built and in temperament. The other kennel, "Drinski Vitez", is actually from Russia. Their dogs are bred for working abilities, so they aren't uniform in type nor are they "showy", but their built, ancestry and temperament is something you can be certain of. There are a few dogs in Serbia and Bosnia form that kennel, two males and two females, and some more are coming soon. Here's Araj III, one of the males photographed at the Russian Breeds Club Show two weeks ago: ...and his son, Ahtar Drinski Vitez, 14 months old in this photo, owned by our member Elir. I've seen dogs from both of these kennels in person and I liked very much what I saw. I think it's worth going a bit farther to get a dog from them. In any case, I wish you good luck in your search and with your new dog! :) Katarina
