I was interested in the breed some breeders breed Spanish bulldogs heavy bulldog type others breed the alaunt type thinner faster less wrinkle they look very different but many consider the same breed coming from the same stock but crossed with different dogs and bred like the old bulldogs or alaunts they were recreated from 300 dogs of type and some more out crossing in the 80's I've seen some video of the Alaunt type and they are fast. Most European countries had at least 3 types of mastiff, bulldog, faster bear or hunting type, & Larger war or guard mastiffs. And the picture does look like the alaunt type but also resembles the boxer, bulmastiff they have been mixed in like most old world dogs Cane Corso, Dogo Canario, Rottweiler & Nepolean Mastiff they almost go extinct a couple of times or do and they get remade with breeds they originally may have helped make.
