This will have an impact on our decision to import a pup. I will not buy a pup after they are already imprinted. I prefer 8-12 weeks old, so they are bonded with my family and don't go through the trauma of adjusting to new people. This is based on us liking serious guard dogs that must bond with us and the livestock early.

I know others will have differing opinions, but this is mine. So, to answer directly. If it is 6 months - I will not buy a dog that has to be imported. Perhaps that is what the damn politicians are hoping would happen.
