New Law
Anyone's thoughts or ideas on the new law passed on pups being at least six months old before international travel. What do breeders think about this when shipping internationally are people less likely to purchase a pup? What about prospective pup owners whom want to purchase a pup internationally are you less inclined. It used to be eight weeks old.

This will have an impact on our decision to import a pup. I will not buy a pup after they are already imprinted. I prefer 8-12 weeks old, so they are bonded with my family and don't go through the trauma of adjusting to new people. This is based on us liking serious guard dogs that must bond with us and the livestock early.
I know others will have differing opinions, but this is mine. So, to answer directly. If it is 6 months - I will not buy a dog that has to be imported. Perhaps that is what the damn politicians are hoping would happen.

I think it makes complete sense. Puppies, in general, are very sensitive and can easily get scared during air travel—the noise, the pressure changes, the unfamiliar surroundings—it can be really overwhelming for them. So why put them through that kind of stress unless it’s absolutely necessary? I actually looked into it with Allegiant Air recently https://allegiant-air.pissedconsumer.com/review.html, and they do have a list of requirements for traveling with pets. It seems fairly straightforward, but even then, I’d say it’s always best to weigh the pros and cons and think of what’s best for the animal’s well-being
