In contact with a breeder from Ohio about bring a Boerboel into our family. After doing some research in my local library I was pleased with the articles and books I find about the Boerboel. Especially with the sections I read regarding their temperament, very protective of family extremely loyal to owner. After visiting this section on the forum and viewing some articles on the internet it seems that the Boerboel is viewed in a different light. How do you feel the Boerboel breed in America is compared to the breed in SA. I have failed to come across an article from the US where a Boerboel attack occurred. If I were to purchase a Boerboel I would be doing everything possible to avoid this situation in terms of training my pup. The breeder seems like a good breeder and form most of my contact with her it seems as if temperament is a key aspect of breeding for her.
