I love all dogs but the mastiff-type breeds hold a special place in my heart. I am currently especially interested in the Boerboel. I enjoy researching the history of a breed and breeders that stay true to that original standard. Not to say that there is no benefit from the creation of a new breed to help with genetic weak spots. I know nothing of breeding and leave it to those who do. I am merely stating my view.
