Beagle Bull

The Beagle Bull was developed by crossing working English Beagles, Kerry Beagles and Beagle Harriers with Rat Terriers, American Pit Bull Terriers and American Bulldogs. Bred primarily for hunting duties, this is not a good candidate for an urban pet. Its immense prey-drive and energetic personality make it an excellent hunter of hares, rabbits, foxes, boars and even deer, but the Beagle Bull Terrier is not an easy breed to obedience train and can be quite snappy. When raised in hunting packs, these feisty hounds get along with their mates, but are very aggressive towards other dogs. Stubborn, independent and undemonstrative, the Beagle Bull is best suited for experienced owners, preferably hunters.

The coat is short, smooth and flat, accepted in all colors. Size can vary greatly among working examples, but most specimens are 21 inches tall.
