Apart from the drawing and personal exposure to this breed, we do not have any reliable information concerning the history or the standard of the Corsican Watchdog at this time. The Corsican Watchdog was reportedly developed by crossing the Great Pyrenees with native Corsican dogs, with the intention of re-creating the old Corsican Mastiff.
