Italian Bullterrier

Developed by crossing the Dogo Sardo with AmStaffs and Staffordshire Bull Terriers, and later the white and coloured variants of the English Bullterrier breed, the lively Italian Bullterrier is bred mainly for companion life. This bully is still quite rare, but its great personality and steady temperament will ensure the future popularity of the breed. Tolerant of strangers and friendly with children, the Italian Bullterrier can sometimes get confrontational around strange dogs, but not to the extent of some other bully breeds. The body is muscular and well-boned. Its ears are naturally erect and the tail can be both docked or left natural.

The soft short coat comes in all colours, but all-white and albino dogs aren't accepted.

Average height is around 22 inches.
