Kanawar Dog
The rare Kanawar Dog of North-Western India is a valued Himachal Pradesh guardian, chained during daytime and let loose at night. Large and extremely aggressive, it needs careful and experienced handling. Even though it is bred in various places, the Disehur bloodlines are said to be the most valuable. The body is well boned and muscular.
Always black in colour and weatherproof, the coat is rich, full and dense. The average height is around 28 inches, but larger dogs exist.
