Kham Sheepdog

The Kham Sheepdog is considered by many to be just a variant of the Tibetan Mastiff, but some sources suggest that it was developed centuries ago from common crosses between Asian greyhounds and herders. Tall, lean and lupoid in head-type, the Kham Sheepdog is very fast and powerful, used to move and protect livestock, as well as for guarding property. It is reportedly very aggressive towards strange people and dogs.

The rich dense coat comes in a variety of colours, most commonly black or brown with tan and white markings. Average height is around 27 inches.
