Nebolish Mastiff

The Nebolish Mastiff was developed in Canada in the 1960's, reportedly by crossing the Dogue de Bordeaux, English Mastiff, Bullterrier, Bullmastiff, Boxer, Deutsche Dogge, Neapolitan Mastiff and even the Saint Bernard, but some fanciers don't find this list of breeds as being 100% accurate.

It has also been suggested that the Nebolish Mastiff is simply a cross between the German Boxer and the French Bullmastiff, but its sheer size dwarfs both of these breeds. Regardless of which theory is correct, this strong, agile giant is marketed as a superb guard dog.

Its supposed health, even temperament and playfulness make the Nebolish Mastiff a wonderful family companion, when properly bred and raised. Reportedly easy to train and generally tolerant of other dogs, it is suited for urban life.

The short, flat coat comes in solid shades of fawn, silver and brindle, always black-masked, with small white markings permitted. Average height is around 34 inches, although smaller examples exist.
