i don´t know if there is any Sarmatian Mastiff breeder where you live, but i have seen a web site of guy who breeds them. there was only one site in english language, the rest i could not read. anyway the Sarmatian Mastiff is not an ancient unchanged breed, but i was told by a guy with good knowledge about breeds from central asia that there is a breeding programm so that the Sarmatian Mastiff can survive. here two pics for you. ">

Thank you for your answer and I am for 1 very glad their is a breeding program in place to save them. Scarlette

The guy who is trying to market them cross breeding CAOs and Great Danes to get a taller dog and feeds them like elephants to increase the weight. The result is - useless, disfunctional dogs with a bunch of structural problems and short life expectancy that he is trying to market as a giant ancient breed and sell for $150,000/puppy.
                        • $150,000????? I am deffinitely in the wrong business!
