Aboriginal Working Alabai (self protection)
I second that. Socialization, control, then agitation. Especially with a defensive based breed/dog.

Dear fella`s,,,, i got a gift of a two month old aboriginal working line Alabai male pup 8 months ago by an Ubek family friend who`s in Afghanistan. Well anyway, what i want to ask is that my dog is now about 10 months and is about 29-30 inches. WHEN do i start training him for self protection? He already barks at ppl walking by our farm but doesnt bite yet. Although he is more agressive then my earlier Afghan tiger dog when he was this old.... Whens the best Age for them to start self protection? Regards best,,,,, -

You can start training him in protection right after he is trained in obedience and your instructor is satisfied with the results. -

I agree with those suggestions. You have to consider that an Alabai is not like a GSD, as Igmuska say he is a defensive based breed so don’t train him like if it were a high prey driven dog. hugo -
