COs in russian circus
Yeah, very cool stuff. Maritza's been performing with Caucasians around 13 years and is a firm believer that contrary to the breed's undeserved reputation for being dumb and untrainable these dogs are actually extremely intelligent and willing to perform when treated with respect and handled by someone who sees more in them than just an aggressive brute. In the article, she says that it takes her about a year and a half to train her COs for the act, with the biggest difficulty being group performance and keeping the dogs from fighting each other. Kudos to anyone tough enough to get in the middle of eight Caucasians fighting all at once.
She rocks. 8)

http://www.newslab.ru/interv/220467 - article in Russian from May this year. It is about a circus dinasty - family Zapashnyi, who dedicated their lives to circus for the last 100+ years. For the last 20 years, Maritsa Zapashnyi, animal trainer is working with Black panthers and last 10 years with Caucasian Ovcharkas. I think it is cool. -

Always nice to see cute girl in dominatrix outfit ordering around bunch of hairy males (any species). Do they have to be wearing leather elbow pads and pretend to be dangerous to the public? LMAO Talking about promoting an image of being vicious and needing same handling as wild cats do. -
