First Time Yesterday...

...that my girl acted aggressive towards a big male Ridgeback. She is the sweetest dog with every dog we meet, but yesterday she was launching at this male's face for no apparent reason. They were both on the leash, but the male was interested only in one thing... My girl came out of her heat 2 weeks ago, but that male must have felt it still. It was the first timwe I had to keep her away from any dog due to her being aggressive. After a couple minutes past, they both calmed down. We were in an open field so we let them loose to play and sure enough they did just that! I guess I am trying to understand what her issue was?

Her issue was that she was ok with first base and second base, but drew a line at third. And a homerun was completely out of the question. If you've ever dated before, I'm sure this female behavior must sound somewhat familiar.
