im going to assume most of you guys are aware of "oli collars". They are really cool looking collars, pretty, look well made etc. If you arent aware of them, here is a link to his blog: http://www.olicollars.blogspot.com/ and heres a link to his shop http://www.etsy.com/shop/olicollars I am wondering if there are any other people out there selling nice collars like this? how about a collar thread with links to fancy collars, protection collars, just good quality collars, etc. also whats the deal with the collars with the fur? -

I get my stuff from stillwater kennel supply and bulldog supply company. The only thing is with both places you have to get a special order for the sizes if you don't own an APBT my stuff had to be made custom since my dog is way bigger than their sizes. I also got two leads from Stillwater and they are super heavy duty as well, not tiny cheap clips those are hardcore buckles that withstand the craziest pulling. This one I got from Stillwater, it is super thick and the hardware is made to last a lifetime. The green collar I ordered from Bulldog supply company and the walking harness I ordered in custom size from Brown Dog Design Harness. When I go on walks the harness allows Bernie to pull at max force while being super comfy.

I was thinking yesterday, after looking at those protection collars. I think maybe the spikes are overkill. I mean a good strong thick leather collar would probably add just as much protection I just see those really long spikes as possibly injuring the dog, or hindering movement. Such as if the dog wants to lay down and rest on its paws etc. -

I honestly think a lot of those fancy spiked collars are just for a look. With BSL and all the public hating these breeds I try to do my best to make sure my dog doesn't look vicious by adding a collar like that. I have a collar with studs but he looks more trendy than anything else lol -

yeah I was meaning the collars that are for the LGD's to protect them from wolves i guess, such as thesehttp://www.cobancollars.com/ not like the "bully" spiked collars
I eventually want to purchase some nice leather collars for all 3 of my dogs like yours has. right now i got these wide nylon ones from walmart. they are reflective and not bad for the price but they are beginning to wear out. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Pet-Champions-Large-Reflective-Collar-1-ct/10417756

I honestly wouldn't know how effective those spiked ones are. I don't think they are functional at all in my opinion and I could see the dog getting stuck with the spikes. If you got with a kevlar cut collar you should be good to go man. I would look into stillwater kennel supply his collars are dirt cheap and they last a lifetime. I am sure your dogs are as big as mine so click on the big dog collar and those should fit your dogs perfectly. Shane is the owner and he will have the collars at your door in less than a week. -

What can I say.... Some girls collect shoes.... I collect dog collars! Traditionally most collars with fur were made thick and heavy to protect the dogs neck. But in the Neapolitan Mastiff breed, the badger fur collars are still very popular. Here are some collars out of my collection, all used for different purposes. If you have any questions with regards to the equipment don't hesitate to ask.[br][link={e_FILE}public/1329921537_11706_FT86659_p1040086_768x1024.jpg][img:width=500&height=667]{e_FILE}public/1329921537_11706_FT86659_p1040086_768x1024_.jpg">[/link][br][br][link={e_FILE}public/1329921537_11706_FT86659_p1040087_1024x768.jpg][img:width=500&height=375]{e_FILE}public/1329921537_11706_FT86659_p1040087_1024x768_.jpg">[/link][br][br][link={e_FILE}public/1329921537_11706_FT86659_p1040089_1024x768.jpg][img:width=500&height=375]{e_FILE}public/1329921537_11706_FT86659_p1040089_1024x768_.jpg">[/link][br][br][link={e_FILE}public/1329921537_11706_FT86659_p1040091_1024x768.jpg][img:width=500&height=375]{e_FILE}public/1329921537_11706_FT86659_p1040091_1024x768_.jpg">[/link][br][br][link={e_FILE}public/1329921537_11706_FT86659_p1040092_768x1024.jpg][img:width=500&height=667]{e_FILE}public/1329921537_11706_FT86659_p1040092_768x1024_.jpg">[/link][br][br][link={e_FILE}public/1329921537_11706_FT86659_p1040093_1024x768.jpg][img:width=500&height=375]{e_FILE}public/1329921537_11706_FT86659_p1040093_1024x768_.jpg">[/link][br][br][link={e_FILE}public/1329921537_11706_FT86659_p1040096_1024x871.jpg][img:width=500&height=425]{e_FILE}public/1329921537_11706_FT86659_p1040096_1024x871_.jpg">[/link][br] -

Over all I really like the handle collars, makes its Very easy to maneuver large dogs in small areas.[br][link={e_FILE}public/1329921870_11706_FT86659_p1040088_768x1024.jpg][img:width=500&height=667]{e_FILE}public/1329921870_11706_FT86659_p1040088_768x1024_.jpg">[/link][br] -
