I mentioned this on the thread pics behind the keyboard so I thought now's as good a time as any to start it. How has the face of your boy OR girl turned out from when you first got them 7-8 weeks to 6 months, year and full grown or if you want to jump from pup to full grown its up to you I just want to share MANY pictures, enjoy. Don't be ashamed start those pictures coming. First pic of Butch 6 weeks, even before he came to live with me.[br][img:width=258&height=258]{e_FILE}public/1302834278_18749_FT0_my_pics_076.jpg"> -

They seem to go through what I call 'ugly' stages where they don't look quite right, he's still got quite a little growing to do, as they usually don't stop maturing until around 2/3 years old. :) -

Sorry to hear about your AB, I'm (slightly) looking forward to my boys final height and weight. Right now at 11 months he's 241/2 inches and about 80 pounds. I say slightly because I think I'm going to miss the puppy MONTHS, can't even say years with dogs. -

Acamper, Thanks for the kind words. Its been years since hes gone but I wouldnt mind 1 day trying another GSD. Also, if your AB is 11 months old, hes about as tall and heavy as he's gonna be. He will probably max out at 25 inches and 85 lbs. Perfect size for a working AB -

I know that's probably hard to answer but I guess people have monitored something like that over the years. It's good that you'd be willing to try a GSD again but I hear you have to REALLY search for a good one. -

Theres a 40lb difference between Mom and Dad... just by average your male should be 85 or so lbs in good shape, he could hit 150 fat, ya know what I mean? I had a litter of AB about 11 years old, and there 6 males, 4 were exactly the average between mother and father, and 2 hit well above both parents, showing the hidden ingredients in their lines. 1 males hit 135lbs and stood 29 solid inches tall and the other was 120lbs at the same height, yet the other 4 were 80lbs in shape. My dogs were not Johnson line dogs either, they were a combination of rode hawg bulldogs and darkside bulldogs on the mothers side, and the fathers side was dorsey dogs. On another point, pups take 70% of their genetics from their Mothers. And females throw pups who are similar to their(females) father. As far as my search for a good GSD, Ive already found the place Id get one from, now I just have to decide if I want to pull the trigger on it or not. -

Thanks all :) I am mighty proud parent. Drool in Tosas vary quite a bit. I'd say my male drools the most, usually really gluey stuff that hangs in slingers from the corners of his mouth. My older female is next up, she's like a leaky faucet when she's about to get food, blows bubbles and all out her lips. The other two really don't drool. I do have to wipe mouths after eating and drinking, but it's not bad other than that. They're house dogs, and once a week i do a wall inspection and clean up any slingers that they've shaken off. Generally, the bigger the jowls (loose lower lip), the worse the drool. -
