    • I mentioned this on the thread pics behind the keyboard so I thought now's as good a time as any to start it. How has the face of your boy OR girl turned out from when you first got them 7-8 weeks to 6 months, year and full grown or if you want to jump from pup to full grown its up to you I just want to share MANY pictures, enjoy. Don't be ashamed start those pictures coming. First pic of Butch 6 weeks, even before he came to live with me.[br][img:width=258&height=258]{e_FILE}public/1302834278_18749_FT0_my_pics_076.jpg">
      • Don't know how to post multiple pitures in same intro so I'll respond to my self. Here's Butch on first arrival at 7.5 weeks. I figured it out, LOL. Glad to see we do have OTHER proud parents besides ME.
              • Thanks, how much does he weigh now?
                • [quote1303224034=NicciC] [quote1303213647=acamper] Thanks, how much does he weigh now? [/quote1303213647] He weighed in at 47.6 kilo's about 6/7 weeks ago, I would say he's gained since then - seems to be going through a funny stage at the moment where he appears to be all leg :) [/quote1303224034] WOW, at a year? I thought the leg stage was at like 6-8 months. Help me with the kilo's I'm an English teacher not a math teacher, LOL, in pounds.
                  • [quote1303224404=tosamama] I'd love to post some pics, but I've got 5 dogs, and 20 puppies i could add, will take me all day to choose pics out of the thousands i've got. LOL [/quote1303224404] Would LOVE to see pics of Tosas, I'd like to own a Tosa at SOME point but it may be difficult on a teacher's salary, LOL. So, get those pics together, I AM WAITING, (that's excitement in anticipation).
                    • [quote1303224850=Moose7] I love threads like this, Il see if i can get some pics of my dog up [/quote1303224850] I THOUGHT it would be nice but it's been rather slow getting started. I assumed EVERYONE would love to see how their pups have changed from cute to the "UGLY" stage to that big bundle of joy that we fall in love with. I've also personally thanked everyone that has responded. So, find those pics and POST PROUDLY, LOL.
                      • [quote1303233125=Crnosrce1] My old GSD 10 weeks(i think) 1yr old or so 5yrs old The last picture I have of him before he got sick and had to be put to sleep [/quote1303233125] Aw WOW, I'm sorry to hear THAT. Hopefully this brings back good memories.

[/quote1303232159] He's roughly just over 100 lbs I think if my maths is correct, my own AB (now passed) went through a very similar stage, as did my DDB'S & Bullmastiffs. They seem to go through what I call 'ugly' stages where they don't look quite right, he's still got quite a little growing to do, as they usually don't stop maturing until around 2/3 years old. :) [/quote1303233229] LOL, thanks, I KNOW I suck at math. Sorry to hear about your AB, I'm (slightly) looking forward to my boys final height and weight. Right now at 11 months he's 241/2 inches and about 80 pounds. I say slightly because I think I'm going to miss the puppy MONTHS, can't even say years with dogs.
                          • [quote1303241598=Crnosrce1] Acamper, Thanks for the kind words. Its been years since hes gone but I wouldnt mind 1 day trying another GSD. Also, if your AB is 11 months old, hes about as tall and heavy as he's gonna be. He will probably max out at 25 inches and 85 lbs. Perfect size for a working AB [/quote1303241598] Thanks I was hoping for about 25 and 90-100. Dad is about 105, mom 65. Who do they take their genes from? I know that's probably hard to answer but I guess people have monitored something like that over the years. It's good that you'd be willing to try a GSD again but I hear you have to REALLY search for a good one.
                            • [quote1303258445=Crnosrce1] Theres a 40lb difference between Mom and Dad... just by average your male should be 85 or so lbs in good shape, he could hit 150 fat, ya know what I mean? I had a litter of AB about 11 years old, and there 6 males, 4 were exactly the average between mother and father, and 2 hit well above both parents, showing the hidden ingredients in their lines. 1 males hit 135lbs and stood 29 solid inches tall and the other was 120lbs at the same height, yet the other 4 were 80lbs in shape. My dogs were not Johnson line dogs either, they were a combination of rode hawg bulldogs and darkside bulldogs on the mothers side, and the fathers side was dorsey dogs. On another point, pups take 70% of their genetics from their Mothers. And females throw pups who are similar to their(females) father. As far as my search for a good GSD, Ive already found the place Id get one from, now I just have to decide if I want to pull the trigger on it or not. [/quote1303258445] Thanks that's a LOT of good information. My boy was the biggest in the litter don't know if that matters but I appreciate the stats
                              • [quote1303258573=tosamama] Georgie Girl, English Bulldog at about 3 months And at 9 years old [/quote1303258573] VERY cute even at 9 years, LOL. NOW, I'd LOVE to see some of those Tosas, IF it's not asking too much, LOL.
                                • [quote1303315373=tosamama] My Georgie Girl is the bestest, but my Tosas are close behind...shhh...don't tell them that i said that LOL Taro at about 3 months My favourite pic of him at 2 years old Kirin at 8 weeks My fav pic of her at 2 Kodachi at 7 weeks Kodachi at 20mth Marishi is 14wk here, she's just 6mths now so i won't put the older pic just yet :) [/quote1303315373] LOVE them Tosas and WOW a 9 year old EB in GOOD shape, just WOW you ARE blessed, CONGRADULATIONS.
                                  • Do Tosas drool at all? Say compared to a Neo or English Mastiff.
                                    • [quote1303335631=tosamama] Thanks all :) I am mighty proud parent. Drool in Tosas vary quite a bit. I'd say my male drools the most, usually really gluey stuff that hangs in slingers from the corners of his mouth. My older female is next up, she's like a leaky faucet when she's about to get food, blows bubbles and all out her lips. The other two really don't drool. I do have to wipe mouths after eating and drinking, but it's not bad other than that. They're house dogs, and once a week i do a wall inspection and clean up any slingers that they've shaken off. Generally, the bigger the jowls (loose lower lip), the worse the drool. [/quote1303335631] Thank you Tosamama, I have to say my standard/hybrid American Bulldog has a puddle when I have him sit waiting to release him to eat his food but never just sitting or standing around. That's the only thing I'm concerned with excessive drooling, I still LOVE the Tosas.
