    • Where did you get him? ...
      • i got him from a breeder called telesto cane corso. http://www.canecorsouk.com/
        • Congrats on your doggie...I also have a Cane Corso...though our 2 dogs look very different
            • How big is he ? if you dont mind me asking. He looks a nice athelic build :D
              • hes quite big, 8 months old, nearly 7 stone, he can easily run far, although we dont run him, waiting for his muscles and stuff to develope. hes really excitable and playful, and he comes jus below my nike tic on my trousers.. thats the only way i can describe hi height, lol. my worry is that he is to heavy or big? can any1 confirm this?
                • these pictures taken today, hes 1 week away from 9 months[br][link={e_FILE}public/1277582033_17769_FT75028_file0129.jpg][img:width=500&height=375]{e_FILE}public/1277582033_17769_FT75028_file0129_.jpg">[/link][br][br][link={e_FILE}public/1277582033_17769_FT75028_file0136.jpg][img:width=500&height=375]{e_FILE}public/1277582033_17769_FT75028_file0136_.jpg">[/link][br][br][link={e_FILE}public/1277582033_17769_FT75028_file0137.jpg][img:width=500&height=375]{e_FILE}public/1277582033_17769_FT75028_file0137_.jpg">[/link][br]

                      • Well, he is a bit big for his age (speaking about the standard) but, he does not look like he is carrying too much excess weight. At 9 months you are past the critical period as the joints and epiphyseal plates are more calcified and less vulnerable. The first 6 months being the most "dangerous" so to speak. I would continue to keep him lean, he will be what he is, large. Keeping him lean and active is the key, which it looks like you have a good start doing.
                        • thanks!
                          • He's beautiful!
                            • Very nice looking dog.
                                • more pictures but there pretty old, newer then the others though.. Also! the vets scales we used last time were apparently dodgy, luckily its free to use them though so its ok, but we got him weighed proply maybe last month?, turns out hes nearly 8 stone lol, he jus turned 1 not so long ago [br][link={e_FILE}public/1286991219_17769_FT75028_photo0015.jpg][img:width=500&height=667]{e_FILE}public/1286991219_17769_FT75028_photo0015_.jpg">[/link][br][br][link={e_FILE}public/1286991220_17769_FT75028_photo0016.jpg][img:width=500&height=667]{e_FILE}public/1286991220_17769_FT75028_photo0016_.jpg">[/link][br][br][link={e_FILE}public/1286991220_17769_FT75028_photo0018.jpg][img:width=500&height=667]{e_FILE}public/1286991220_17769_FT75028_photo0018_.jpg">[/link][br][br][link={e_FILE}public/1286991220_17769_FT75028_photo0021.jpg][img:width=500&height=667]{e_FILE}public/1286991220_17769_FT75028_photo0021_.jpg">[/link][br]
                                  • 7 stone, 8 stone??? what kind of weight measurement is a stone, some medieval thing? Nice dog, would you happen to know what he weighs in kilos, I am curious....
                                    • 1 stone is about 14 pounds, 1 pound is 2.2 kg. Therefore, at 8 stone this dog is about 112lbs or 51kg. BTW, cute pictures.
                                      • lol, stone... sounds like it probly is medieval ^^ cheers btw
                                        • Nice looking boy and GREAT choice in breeder. I met Ali in the states this spring, awesome woman and truly cares about the breed!
                                          • igmuska you are wrong. 2.2 pound is 1 kg. it is the opposite of what you wrote
                                            • LOL, Yeah, I see I got it backwards. My bad...
                                              • I think your new dog is a very handsome devil and I love the artwork in your avatar :D
                                                • not to be a partypooper, but this dog is maximum 40 kg. look at the dogs in my reply. the huge black male is 55kg, and the blue dog wich is only 7 month, is 42 kg. both dogs are a lot stronger build than the one on the photo posted in this thread[br][img:width=440&height=330]{e_FILE}public/1290372983_6033_FT75028_picture_bassen.jpg">[br][link={e_FILE}public/1290372983_6033_FT75028_billede_210.jpg][img:width=500&height=333]{e_FILE}public/1290372983_6033_FT75028_billede_210_.jpg">[/link][br]
                                                  • ....and what are the heights of all three dogs?
                                                    • Very Beautiful Seb_UK. No offense Sabrina but I see Neo in your Cane.
                                                      • Congrats, he is a beauty! Keep him strong and LEAN and his future will be a good and healthy one! What plans do you have with him, any PP or is he mainly a family dog?
                                                        • hes a family dog and a great 1 at that, these pictures are old, ill upload some newer ones soon.
                                                          • To make things easier with the photos - you can put as many as you like in the gallery. You can also create your own album so show of your dog... Cheers.
                                                            • Talking about making things easier... I've been trying to change my avatar pic so many times and I just can't figure it out. Can someone help? Thanks
                                                              • Click on Settings or Profile - on the top right corner. Find and Click Registration Options. Scroll down to the box that says Upload your Avatar. Click Browse and find the file on your computer. Then click upload. If it does not work - your file is probably too large. Avatars are supposed to be small and the maximum width and height allowed is 120 x 120 pixels. If you can't figure it out just send the photo to admin@molosserdogs.com and I'll do it for you. Best regards, Gary
                                                                • Sadly, Chase died not so long ago :( he was only 2 years old. He started having seizures, first day of this, he only had 3 in the space of about 10 hours, we took him to the vets, had a blood test and they found no reason for the seizures, so they put it down to Epilepsy, 12 days later, he was in and out of seizures every 10 minutes. for over half a day, We had no choice but to put him down :( Vets said something about how it could have been an infection passed to the puppy through the placenta, the vets tried to assure me it wasnt inadequate breeding. it happened a short while ago but emotions were raw. if i posted back then it would have been a long post of serious sadness / rage..... R.I.P. Chase. :( i have posted more pictures, i made a user Gallery... http://molosserdogs.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=2049

                                                                    • Sorry for your loss.... its never easy to lose a dog, especially when they are in their prime age bracket.
                                                                      • [quote1324394885=Crnosrce1] Sorry for your loss.... its never easy to lose a dog, especially when they are in their prime age bracket. [/quote1324394885] Agreed. It's pure devastation. Every one loved him, he left a life long impression in his short 2 years. I wish he was here now :'(.
                                                                        • So sorry to hear this. May time heal your pain.
                                                                          • I lost a dog young too, it absolutely destroys you. I feel for you mate.
                                                                            • Sorry for your loss :(
                                                                              • [quote1325725869=ThirdeyeCorso] Very Beautiful Seb_UK. No offense Sabrina but I see Neo in your Cane. [/quote1325725869] I actually agree and take it as a complement. Of course, if you look at old old pictures of the mastino, they look verrrrrry different than the neo today, but I agree my dog does look like and old-world mastino, and I do prefer that to what the Corso has become in come lines... Of course my dog is extremely athletic and agile, so he still possesses those traits of the Corso
                                                                                • WOW I just saw this thread for the first time, read from the beginning and BANG, sad ENDING, just WOW. Sorry to hear and MY boy turns 2 in May and I think I'll be devastated when he goes, ESPECIALLY if he goes young, (ASSUMING he goes FIRST). Sniff SNIFF, sad

                                                                                              • I want to thank this forum I finally got a Cane Corso after 5 years of waiting an researching.

here i the breeder http://sanroccocanecorso.com by far the best small breeder i have seen.

does anyone know of a good puppy food that i should use? I was thinking of using 'back to the wild' puppy food that my breeder uses but i was wondering if anyone has comments.
