Which breeds are involved in this dog, would you say?

Probably a Doguin father which is common, maybe with a dash of B&T dog back there somewhere. Nice mutt though...

• pitbull/dogue de bordeaux?american bulldog?rottweiler?, I would like you guys' input ... posting this in 'bandogs' (mastiff mix), because that is what i think he is... With his litter, him in the very front... A couple of videos to see him 'in action' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljJE5ZX2gas http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gIum__fMaNE&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mMTO-3Owwu8 Thanks.
• Looks like a good old Dibo APBT with maybe a strong Johnson Am Bulldog?
• Looks like a warlock we've trained. Maybe not a straight one, but suggestive of heavy Pit and Rott influence. You can see the open face in his dilute, which suggests a one sided Black and tan ancestry.
• I was always under the impression that the "warlock" was more mythology than actual genetics - enlighten me, please?
• I'd guess it's an apbt/rott, maybe a young one with some filling out to do. Interesting observation from someone who has seen a few rott crosses-
Rottweiler. Not a common breed in pig hunting circles, a lot of hunters will have a bit of a chuckle about using the Rottie. I have hunted with 2 pure bred dogs, and a couple of crosses. All were good honest dogs, with the pure dogs probably being my pick for a pure bred pig dog. They have a top nose, plenty of weight and will not let go. The male I owned was used to find roos in long grass when shooting pet food, and any pigs we came across were never any drama regardless of size. I bred two litters of F1 crosses using Rottie to EBT. They were good sized dogs, lots of hunt and bloody hard, probably a little too hard for me but they would find and hang, no matter what. An unusual thing when crossing the Rottie is that nearly all the pups will be red, it is very rare to get a black and tan. Downside is heat; they need a lot of water but no more than other large dogs. They are definitely worth considering in any pig dog mix.
http://www.boardogs.com/Boardogs_F1_crosses.htm
• A warlock is a term for a F1 APBTxRott. The perpetuation for this cross is the Panja mastiff. Any dog which is Black and tan, then bred to a dog without Black and tan lineage, will be a brindle, or most commonly, the red smut (not always a dilute).. EBTxRotts can throw Black and tan, but the EBT has to have tri or black and brindle in its ancestry. Black and tan is a very "recessive" color. They are remarkable dogs.
• To be honest I'd agree with the bulldog assumption. I saw his father very briefly, and he was a huge very heavy set red brindle dog. His mother a heavy, smaller red and white pitbull. I have been wondering what the father may have been, and my guess has always been DDB mix, or ABD. His "mask" is pretty odd though. Could be from the brindle?
• maybe dad was a "doguin de bordeaux", at the time i was almost certain it was a DDB, or a DDB mix. I asked the owner of the father and he really didn't seem to know much. The owner of the mother seemed equally ignorant. They had bred their dogs on a whim, but did get some great dogs out of it.

• I wish i had taken some pictures of mother and father, the father was a really impressive presence.
• Sounds like he's your average BYB "AmBully" so god knows what is actually in the mix. Handsome boy though.
