BRAZILIAN BULL-MASTIFF
Interesting photos. How does the Bullmastiff perform in the Brazilian heat? I have friends in Recife where it's 80s year round and very few Molossers survive there. I do know that some Brazilian Police like the Tropa de Elite take pride in their working Filas that look like giant bloodhounds that are used to hunt and sometimes kill fugitives in the jungle.

Friendliness with other animals and dogs is common. It responds very well to commands and does not constantly seek to establish dominance over the human members of its family, as many of the larger working dogs tend to do. Display a definite preference for its family, children included, but it is not a dog that gets along very well with a visitor to the home if his master is not present.

I liked when you were breeding old style Fila's having ojeriza X working APBT. But that type of dog would be only for a small demographic of those needing a really intense dog. Do you still own Tornado? How did your mostly white Fila pup turn out? I remember him from years ago.

These one is from the new generation. The mother is a pure APBT blood and came from Floyd Boudreaux dogs ..Boudreaux Skull and the father is Recapo's Marechal.

That pup I believe isn't representative of your dogs. He has some structural issues with his front legs bowing. He may have some hip issues later on. His rib cage is too wide. Don't over feed or let him self feed.

I think the bullmastiff reference was more of a generic term used rather than an indication of blood. I see far more fila blood than bullmastiff and maybe douge de bourdeux?

From the geneology tree he provided it looks like there's all three, fila, ddb and bullmastiff. And then some apbt for good measure. Could be wrong?

[/quote1315481840] We have many bloodlines. The first prime line was a mix from Fila x APBT x E.Bullmastiff and the second was Fila x APBT x Dogue Bordeaux. Today we have the both lines combined. In att you will se :Redcapo´s Marechal (Fila x APBT x Dogue Bordeau) the puppy Fawn her sister from sire side(ila x APBT x E.Bullmastiff ), the white puppy (Fila x APBT x E.Bullmastiff x Dogue Bordeaux) and his mother Redcapo' s Ines ( APBT x E.Bullmastiff ) crossed with Redcapo's Marechal. That's interesting, when you had the apbt/fila/bm line and the apbt/fila/ddb line did you notice any difference between the lines? Or not really?

The apbt/fila/ddb was built with 50% off DDB and apbt/fila/bm with 25% of BM so its hard to compare and two diferent filas blood. if you beleive that bm and ddb had same ancestral gene you will understand the aim of the project

With 9 bloodlines that is a great base for selecting the desired performance and form for your program. Do you plan to take the best of all and breed down to a smaller number of lines? That may be something to do to establish the best of the breed.
