[/URL] This video is part of a television documentary show "Sasvim prirodno" ("Perfectly Natural") made in 2004 on Homolje mountain. Show was directed by Jovan Memedović and this is what he is saying in this short clip: "From great distance, he can smell his ancient enemy and without hesitation uncovers his presence. More than that shouldn't be asked from a sheepdog. But is he capable of engaging in a fight with a wolf? Yes, he is. Will he defeat him? Very unlikely. Wolf can see clearly up to two kilometers away and if conditions allow him, hear from up to five kilometers distance. For millions of years, the wolf evolved his senses to become the perfect predator. Finally, he is a wild beast. Only hunger can force him to make a mistake. He will attack the sheep even though the dogs are awaiting him. He swiftly performs his bloodthirsty attack, afterall, he can jump over a three meter fence with ease. ...and this is how big a Serbian Sheepdogs' heart is... This scene wasn't directed by man, it was directed by mother nature. It is well known that there is no free lunch. That is the only rule of the game." Hope you enjoyed it! :) Katarina
      • great video :D :D :D
        • I've seen this before, although I can't remember where. Cool video. Thanks for posting it. 8)
          • Was this real? Why would the herder have his LGDs chained up, unable to protect their flock?? And that pitiful stake...a Kangal would have ripped it out of the ground immediately and the wolf would not have had the chance to jump the fence. I call BS on this video, can't be real. Ah I see now, "show was directed"...
            • At the moment before the LGD broke lose it looked like the wolf was feeding on a dead rabbit... Looks like it was staged.
              • Ya, I was thinking, "thats a small sheep"...
                • Neat video. It did look obvious though. Richard
