Have you read a great dog book lately?

I'm in LOVE with Every book that Pat Hastings has wrote. "Structure in Action" is a Great book!!! Not to mention all of her better breeding and puppy books!

    • Ok, this thread will probably just sit here and not even get a reply. What with all the internet stuff, facebook, twitter, and so many other online communities - why would anyone read a book about dogs. Well, if you have read any dog books recently - please tell which one and what you thought of it.
      • OK, I'll go first. Last month I read Through a Dog's Eyes by Jennifer Arnold. The book was entertaining and I enjoyed it, but I couldn't stop thinking that she had it easy training labs and goldens. Now, training a monster, I mean a molosser, dog would be a challenge. :)

          • I need to read that structure in action book, Betsy assgined it as my homework lol I really need to read that book and I want to read one on raising a guard dog lol
            • I have been reading several at the same time; but if you ask me to mention one I would say Dogs Domestication and the Development of a social bond, written by Darcy F. Morey. A very serious work about the origin, evolution and domestication of the dog, supported by personal research on the field, scientific studies and a lot of the best research on the matter. hugo
              • Thanks Hugo. That one is next on my list. I have been wanting to read it for a while now.
                • The last good dog book I read was Baree: Son of Kazan
