Collars and my boy!!

Thank you for posting your update and writing about the collars.  He looks great wearing it.  Normally because of where we live our dogs don't usually have collars on.  When they have to be leashed then we use Fur saver Collar by Herm. Sprenger. We do have some very nice hand-made leather collars also.

  • Hello, everybody!!

I have updates to write about but I'm actually here because of collars. All of us have dogs with big necks and Alphonse's is about 24" right now and still growing! I found a woman who travels around Turkey and brings collars back to the US. She has traditional wolf collars (very cool) and other handmade collars made for LGDs and any other dog with a thick neck. I got three for $60 and they are very thick and durable and I love them. All three of mine have evil eye beads on them--I love it. He wears the collar with the bells on it whIle we hike and the regular ones in our regular life. She only has a few left and I may even buy more because where else could I get handmade leather collars of that size for so cheap??

    P.s.

Look at how big he's getting :')

Admin: I added the file for you.

      • He's looking good!

That is a great price for leather collars. But those are too big for all of my dogs. Even my big dogs aren't that big....lol

        • When he's at home he doesn't wear one either! But when I take him out places he wears one of these new collars with his ID tags and sometimes a prong collar if we are working on something. I take him to a lot of places and I never want him to get lost and it's always nice to have the proof of vaccinations there. And they're good luck with the evil eyes!!

          • I am working on getting the photos back on the forum.
